two pensions or one?

I contribute to a stakeholder pension with Standard Life and my employer also contributes. This will be my main source of income on retirement. A number of years ago I contracted out of SP2 and payments were subsequently made into a C/O pension with the Pru.
These payments are still being made.
Question is... should I transfer the pot in the Pru into my SL pension or just leave things as they are?
Apparently the total transfer value of the Pru pension is currently £17499. Is this the sum I could transfer? The summary says that this figure represents " value after deducting any MVR...if you had taken a transfer value on the above dates" (17/3/2008).
Size of return is not of any great concern to me as I had to take 14 years out of work to be a carer and so spouse and I will mostly depend on their final salary pension and our state pensions plus the small sums I get from SL and Pru.
Anything I should watch out for tho by moving them together?

Does the Pru pension have any guarantees? How do the charges compare? What other benefits are there for doing this?Apparently the total transfer value of the Pru pension is currently £17499. Is this the sum I could transfer?
No. That is the transfer value as it was 6 months ago. Not what it is now. You need to get an up-to-date figure including any MVR.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
