I was declared bankrupt in May 2006 and have since not heard anything else stating whether I am discharged etc etc.
I want to try and get out of private rent, therefore try for a mortgage with my partner, can anyone advise me?

You will be discharged after 1 year from the date of going bankrupt.
If you dont receive early discharge you dont hear off the OR.
Have you started the process of sorting out your credit file??
This should be your first port of call.
If you are looking for a mortgage due to the current credit issues you will need a deposit of at least 25% but most are now lookign for 35-45% deposits.0 -

HOW LONG WILL MY SEQUESTRATION LAST?at a time.
As long as you work with your trustee, your sequestration
will normally end three years after the date of
sequestration. This is called being discharged. However, if
you do not co-operate with your trustee, the court can
increase the length of your sequestration for up to two yearsWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0 -
