Discounts In Asda - Question

Hi all,
I usually do my shopping on a Friday night but decided to go last night (Thursday) instead.
I purchased 2 x Frozen Fruit at £1.99 each, but today I got an Asda email saying they had been dropped in price to £1 each.
Nice.
Is there a method or 'cap in hand' approach in going back to them to get the £1.98 back? Are they likely to look on my situation with any sympathy - or am I just plain unlucky..?
Oh, and £2 back for me is a big deal.
Thanks!
