Please be aware that this company has been chasing debts that do not exist.

My girlfriend received a letter from this company demanding 199.94 on behalf of Southern Water. It relates to an address my gf lived at 4/5 years ago. NKS had no details other than a 'vacated property' date of Dec 04. They could not provide the start date for the billing period in question.

The city council confirmed her 'vacated property' date as 30th June 04. We contacted SW and they have no record of this debt. SW have kindly told NKS to close this account, and reminded them that they had not instructed NKS to chase this account. It would appear NKS have falsified this debt. I don't wish to pursue any further as it takes time, but NKS's actions are illegal. Make sure you don't get caught out.

Having done a bit more investigating, I discovered that their is no relationship between NKS and SW. NKS do not currently act on behalf of SW. In fact, NKS used to chase debt on behalf of SW but had their contract terminated as they never passed on the debts they collected onto SW. They stole money from SW and it's customers. We're talking about some pretty serious white collar crime here.

If you have paid monies to NKS, then please investigate a little further, ideally with the company they claimed to be acting on behalf of.

I have been informed today that money I paid in settlement of a debt on my Goldfish card to NKS has not been forwarded to the genuine debt owners.

Centrethorn are now in receivership and NKS is a limited company and so the funds may not be recoverable.

The original number I had for NKS is now dead and the new number on their still live website is not answered .:mad:

Centrethorn and NKS are a scam set up, DO NOT PAY THESE PEOPLE ANY MONEY, they are offering settlements on outstanding debts and then they dissappear and the genuine debt owners will still not have had any money.
