Scarf, hat and wristlet ideas please.

I have two lovely little girl neighbours, sisters, about 9/10 years. I want to knit them a little set of scarf, hat and wristlets that are wearable and pretty.

Can anyone suggest a pattern, colour - they are both dark haired - and perhaps a bit of fluffy prettyness with practicality.

I would be very grateful.

Hi do you have an 'instore' shop near you? The one near me sells knitting kits for £2-3 and you get three balls of yarn in them too. I have just knitted my neighbour's little girl one in fluffy yarn in shades of pink. I have enough wool left over for a scarf too (although it may be a bit on the short side but hey, she can tuck it into her jacket!). They sell balls of yarn for £1 too. Might be worth checking out a local poundstore as well.
