well, it could have been worse snags- I was going to suggest a whisky and woo woo!!:D

Well, I've met myself half way. I've not given in to temptation and spent any money on a takeaway, on re-filling my glass I've chucked a pasta n sauce in the microwave (free on SW), however, I do seem to have 3 Value Chocolate Digestives next to my glass of wine at the moment whilst waiting for the microwave to do it's thing

I used my new 'low income' status now I officially can say I get WTC to get myself a card which gets me cheaper access to leisure centres, crazy golf (anyone fancy a DFW crazy golf championship challenge?!) etc as well as concessionary fees on courses at work. I signed up for the 1 day Spanish course next month so as long as it runs I can have a day learning a few phrases.

Really? I've never thought of using it for that stuff! I was just chuffed to get free prescriptions as they were wiping me out!

Not great Snags, I don't mind you asking :)

I'm having hypnotherapy soon but have taken an instant dislike to the woman - she was so mean and negative. Back on three lots of drugs, barely can get out of bed and in lots of pain.
And now on top of that I have to find a job because I can't get Incapacity Benefit because I've got enough NI thingys

  • That's terrible Gemmzie, could the fact that you are a student count towards the NI stamps?
Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:
  • Gemmz - it's a thing my local council does, not sure what others do, it cost me £2.50 for the year, check out your local council - apparently I can also get discounts on playing bowls and booking a beach hut in low season!

I have no idea, I only really know the rules for the under 18s lot. The DWP don't seem to know either
They also don't seem to know if I pay for being self employed, even though I'm not earning enough to have to pay it, if that'll count either. Maybe a CAB person could check for me, our local one is rubbish!

I might have to look into that, I'm going out of my mind here and could do with a break on the cheap. A course or something would be ideal.

  • WTC gets a discount on GCSE's and NVQ's and then the card gets discounts on courses which are classed as 'Leisure' such as languages, some arty stuff etc.
