Christmas mincemeat, am I too late to make it?

Hi guys
I like to make Delia's 6lb mincemeat recipe and I usually do it around October, but this year I havent even started it!
Am I too late to make it now? I will be making up my mince pies around the 19th December, so it will have less than a month to mature, shall I just buy the stuff? :-/
Delia doesnt give much info, she just says use it within a year.

absolutely do it anytime between now and Christams. I usually do mine when I do the pudding on 'stir-up Sunday' ie last sunday before advent , that was the day before yesterday this year - so you'll be fineIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0

Thanks everyone
I'm so glad the answer is positive, making mincepies with homemade mincemeat is so much nicer than buying the jars. I shall go out in the morning and get the ingredients, hoooray!0
