They are unable to uphold my complaint for the usual reasons - Signed documents etc. I know for a fact that I was mis-sold the policy and will continue to fight.
But, I've just had a look at my loan/PPI agreement and on the section where I sign on the dotted line, it states:
"I wish to purchase Barclayloan Payment Protection ( ) please tick.
I understand that I am purchasing the product ticked above on credit provided by you and that the terms relating to the credit for the products can be found under Key Financial Information and Other Financial Information set out in this agreement.
Signature of Borrower
-My signature-
Please tick and sign in the above box to confirm that you want to proceed with your Barclayloan Payment Protection application."
I have not ticked the box. But I've signed the agreement. There is another statement on the same document which asks me to sign the Credit agreement for the actual loan. Next to both of the signature boxes, are ticks were the person who sold me the policy has obviously asked me to sign. Does this clearly show that I have only ticked the boxes where I have been asked to. Does this mean anything? Is there any hope for me?
Thanks very much in advance.

Any bank will try to defend itself at the first attempt. If you are sure you are missold, simply write again saying why you were missold. You might also want to point out the discrepancies with the form - the shakier ground Barclays are on, the less they will risk the complaint escalating to the ombudsman service with the associated cost and likelyhood of them losing.
Don't give up just yet....
R.Smile, it makes people wonder what you have been up to.

Hi there
like what Rafter says dont give up and its seems you really want to fight them so good for you.;)
If you want to, post this over at the loan ppi reclaiming thread where others can also guide you here.
Yes there is still hope, they probably TOLD you where to sign not even giving you a minute to check it out, where I know of some people assumed this was all part of the agreement.;)
Keep at them and write back and give them approx 14 days to respond to you and tell them if they do not uphold your complaint, you will complain to the FOS with the evidence that YOU have about this case.
Good luck!
If you want further info, please if you can post on the above mentioned thread, cheers.
Di.
