I came across a similar situation a few years back. The shaky ground is that you have asked 'if it would be suitable' ... it is still suitable if Sky or someone else sells a suitable adapter that works with your TV. However nobody can legislate for what might happen in the future ... specifications can change at the last minute (so Sky may say you need a particular input whereas when the final product is launched it needs something totally different).greenfeld69 wrote:I recently bought a TV on 1-year deferred payment from my local Sony Centre (the Bravia KHL-S26A12U). I asked if it would be suitable for Xbox 360, Sony PS3, HD Sky, etc. and they ticked all of the boxes.
I've since realised (almost 2 weeks later) that the TV doesn't have an HDMI socket, which I believe will be essential, or at least very useful, for Sky HD.
However, the reply above seems to imply you do have one but just seem to have mislaid it somewhere

Going off the spec on the sony site, you should have a HDMI input. I know XBox 360 connects via component HD, and whilst Sony has made much of the fact that PS3 has 2 HDMI outputs, I'm pretty sure it will also offer component connections, so on the gaming front, I think you're pretty much catered for. Not sure about Sky though.0
