CD-ROM for schools: The Boy In Striped Pyjamas

this is a free cd-rom for schools. it's not the actual film, but a range of supporting material designed for schools. you need to enter your job title, school and subject taught. if you're not a teacher, forward the link to your local school for their benefit :D

Set during World War II, a story seen through the innocent eyes of Bruno, the eight-year-old son of the commandant at a concentration camp, whose forbidden friendship with a Jewish boy on the other side of the camp fence has startling and unexpected consequences.

  • Really want to see this film so this will be great for follow up work. Great link for home edders as well as schools. The reply said that they need to verify that it is an authentic email address and that the applicant is a UK teacher. For the school name, I put in home education group so can't foresee a problem. Thanks JT

Have not sent of for personally but really, really good post - thanks - if was still involved with school groups would have sent off for as looks excellent material - thanks for suggestion of sending link to local schools!

If was still running groups between you and lorweld would have sourced enough ed. material and fun to keep groups going for yonks - many thanks - do send off for some for nieces and nephews or forward to others still involved - so thanks again!
