I've signed up for two for the household, one for me and one for my husband. When I submitted the request it first of all told me that I was in the wrong region (I presume it meant country is not US) and there were a couple of pop-ups. However, on clearing the pop-ups I came to a web page that said my request would be dealt with and the pen sent out in the next few weeks. I wait with bated breath until my pen appears.

Have just completed form and was then asked about other surveys, which seemed quite innocuous. Mobile phone number was wanted and had the following message:- "FreeMsg Text OK To confirm your participation in theWixawin trivia game. Join the weekly quiz 4Q a week £1 message received £5 to join Info Wixawin.com"

I am afraid now that I might get charged to receive these questions and if so do not know how to stop them. I did go through all the rest of their "offers" and ticked NO to all of them even the well known ones, but I know my details are on the original questionnaire.

I would be grateful if any-one could give me some advice or reassurance.

this one is doing the rounds on the american freebie sites at the moment. some people are saying it's a phishing site, but others are still signing up anyway.

i tested it myself before lorweld made her post, to see what would happen. i was suspicious about it, so i didn't post it. i think lorweld was right to remove the link. if mine arrives, i'll let you all know and lorweld can put the link back in. i wasn't asked for any mobile details though and i was extremely careful not to sign-up to anything. as always with these things, i use a spammy email address.

i've posted the owner's email address here, but if i were you, i wouldn't even email him. i'd just sit tight and see what happens. let us know if any unwanted rubbish gets sent to your mobile.
