    I laughed at that one as well and a couple of the others! as you say get someone less desirable to deal with the sandbags, bet when it comes to being called up to fight for your country you are not asked if you are a bankrupt though!

  • thanks guys, its an IVA I refer to not BR, I am registered at companies house as all directors are of a LTD company, it would be mad to enter into such an agreement if I was forced to leave my job for the simple reason I would no longer have an income and of course would not be able to keep to the agreement of the IVA

    In that case with an IVA you should be able to remain as a director.

    That is the point that Martin was trying to make.

    One of the few advantages of an IVA is that unlike bankruptcy you can remain as the director of a company.

    Obviously you need professional advice to confirm that an IVA will not effect your ability to earn. Maybe CCCS. If they agree that IVA is your best bet then they can often help set one up that doesn't charge excessive fees.
