I have found this site offering cheap refurbished computers; is says based on donations?

Has anyone used them? - is it worth it

Well they have an address/email.

Although those computers will be slow with anything more than basic XP

DOT-COMmunications only provides refurbished PCs to not-for-profit organisations and groups such as charities, community, voluntary and faith organisations and not-for-profit social enterprises. Organisations may purchase PCs for staff and individuals but we do not sell direct.

You have to be a not for profit organisation to get one

check ebay for cfcukhq as a seller, its a charity doing refurbs, I got a refurbed Dell with a small footfall for my mother in law - £27 - I put XP on it for her (officially licensed of course lol!) and it works like a dream, cfcukhq even give you a 3 month warranty, the power supply on this went and I had a new one arrive next day (was really easy to fit)...............

its the pc only, you need your own keyboard/mouse/screen etc
