• Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email !!!!!!.
• What's your price range, what else will/might you want to use it for, what screen size do you want? (15.4 is fairly standard and reasonably portable). Most basic laptops today will do charts and photoshop without a problem.

For example we recently replaced one of ours with a decent 15.4 HP from PCWorld (don't like them but it was convenient) for £329. Looked on their website first and had to ask for it specially as wasn't on display.

But you can get cheaper/better deals--we needed to replace a broken one urgently, or would have gone elsewhere.
