Prescott on Today program R4 Thursday morning.

There was a brilliantly entertaining interview on Today this morning at about 7:45am.
Prescott was blathering on about how Gordon Brown was the right man for the job when important economic issues needed facing and how a leadership challenge was not right. He stuck to their well known tactic of blaming the world economy and how only one man could save us etc.
The interviewer (I think it was James McNaughtie?) then pointed out that in 1997 the Labour government blamed the Tories for the economic situation and Gordon Brown had promised "no more boom and bust".
He also asked why the government had allowed such lax lending on mortgages etc.
It was very amusing. John Prescott was trying to keep things random and vague.
The thin that most annoyed me was when he claimed that the government had done great things for "social justic".

I'm a southerner and regard that statement as little better than racist.0 -

I thought he was Welsh?RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.

I think you'll find I said "little better than racist", not "racist". There's rather a large difference between the meanings.

I think we can all agree that Prescott is thick, he is also a hypocrit of the highest order, a man who talks the talk( well sort of:D), yet definitely doesn't walk the walk.
He is one of the worst offenders of NuLab, when is snout hasnt been buried in a steak 'n' kidney pie, its been firmly buried in the taxpayers' trough.
For these reasons he has zero credibility on any subject, he's not even funny anymore. How he ever got anywhere near the job he had is testament of just how bad this government has been.0 -
He's very good at avoiding answering questions.Happy chappy0

He doesn't avoid the questions, he just doesn't know the answers0 -
To be fair, I think it is a bit rich to blame everything on the Government. They can't regulate every inch of everyone's lives - if they did, people would moan, though now they don't, people moan anyway. Not exactly an easy job, I think...0
