What was the delivery date the Web site listed for the order you received? My order from around 11 a.m. Wednesday says it is being processed and that expected delivery is 7/10 -- next Wednesday. If your order said an earlier date than that, it's actually good news for me because maybe it means they put a later delivery date for me because they were waiting to restock.

I do wish the Web site let you just cancel, because it's all starting to seem like too much hassle, lol. I *definitely* do not want to end up paying a delivery charge because they left bits out, as I would've added something else to make it up to 40 if I knew they weren't going to deliver some items. It's slightly scamy to leave items off an order and then add on a delivery charge without giving a person a chance to add more items or cancel the order. Rant over, lol.
Just checked and the expected delivery date for my 1st order (the one I've recieved already) was 7/10. The 2nd order has an expected date of 8/10.

I don't think if your order falls below £40 due to cancelled items they charge you for delivery do they? I'm sure this has happened to me before and it was still free? I think people get fed up with the delivery charge because they purchase a few items and pay the delivery charge and then the items they wanted end up getting cancelled meaning that they've paid a delivery charge on a couple of small items that they weren't that bothered over? This has happened to me before anyway.

Not 100% sure this is right though so maybe someone could clear it up?

    Edited to add:
I've just checked my order history and found an order that I made in January which had items cancelled off it. The original total was £44.96 so I got free delivery. After 2 items were cancelled off the order the total was only £17.48 but I still got free delivery on it :D

Several people on here have said they got charged for delivery after items were cancelled. Others weren't charged; it's pretty random and senseless, like most things pertaining to Boots, lol.

Just got an email, my order has been partially dispatched. I didn't get the mirrors (drat, drat, drat!). My other items weren't really high-demand on the glitch front, so I'm getting them. The total was still over 43, so I didn't get charged shipping. It looks like I *should* get to keep all my extra points though, based on what the email said:

bullit.gif You will not be charged for items we have cancelled.

bullit.gif If you have ordered a promotional item, but had the free item cancelled and we have despatched the chargeable items, please be assured we will refund one of these items. This is to ensure you are not disadvantaged.

bullit.gifYou will still receive all Boots Advantage Card points promised.
  • Thanks to all peeps who have highlighted the fabulous reductions in haircare. I was aware of the 3 4 2 but would probably have missed the other reductions if it wasn't for all the lovely people on here.

I popped into a Boots after work and bought 9 bottles of shampoo/conditioner/mousse. I also managed to get £6 off by using John Frieda vouchers.

A naughty little voice inside my head then told me to stop the car outside my local little Boots and I bought 6 more bottles of stuff in there! What am I like! biggrin.gif

Very pleased though as I've got a selection of good brands, John Frieda, Dove (49p), Herbal Essences (45p), Simple (60p), Elvive (55p), Tommyguns (£1.25) for a total cost of £9.09. I don't think I shall need to buy any more haircare stuff for the next year (I'd already got a little hoard!). I just need to find a place to put it all now! :j

The only thing is that I paid for the stuff in separate batches to make sure that I got the best value eg clumping JF stuff together. This meant that each bill was well under £10 and so I didn't qualify for any perfume vouchers (not that I needed any anyway). Does anyone know how the till would have sorted the goods out if I'd have lumped everything together?

Typical, got the vouchers but cant get the weekend set from anywhere near me & I really wanted another one as well. I got the free washbag with the last one as well, so a real bargain for £7.50.

I have a feeling the metro centre is a few miles from Suffolk

I must have benn lucky then because looking at my past orders I've had at least 4 which had cancellations making the total fall below £40 (even as low as £13ish) and they've always honoured the free delivery on it :D .

No rhyme or reason to Mr Boots - typical man  !
