Had quite a good shop in Birmingham High Street todaytoday thanks to you guys - I'm getting more confident!
Got 3 Xmas gifts - 1x FCUK men's @ £8, 1 x FCUK minis in hat box at £10 and 1 x Men's Botanics set @£8 - so saved £8.
SA put in the 100 points when you spend on Men's Botanics from the AC machine but wouldn't gove me the free washbag when you spend £5 on FCUK. She tried but till showed as £12 and although I tried a little argue she wasn't having it and said didn't count for Xmas gifts so I left it.
Then found Balm Balms - none showing as reduced - on the shelves everywhere at £2.99 but acted dumb and asked for price and both (Rose) scanned at 75p so am going back tomorrow for more!
Got the last R and M Metallics set that was out and 2 of the green eyeshadow sets for £4.50 and £3 - and on 3for2
Got a Men's Hackett aftershave - in clearance at £2.50 but scanned at £1.66 - box a bit battered but hubby not bothered!
Then needed to throw in some tissues and mints to make it up to £30 so I could use the 250 points on £30 spend because the aftershave was reduced!
Total spend £30 and a few pence and got 470 points - pretty pleased with thatBack to comping! July wins: Frylight August wins: Pixar DVD, Diesel Watch,£75 hamper brioche products September wins bath soak
Thanks to everyone who posts comps and help :beer:0 -
Just a thought about the error messages some peeps are getting when trying to place orders and complete transactions on dot com.

Just back from Boots - can confirm the No7 electrical glitch worked.
Bought 2 eyelash curlers and a compact trimmer
Original price £11.99 each. Till totalled 2 x £11.99 for the eyelash curler and the trimmer shows as .00. However, it shows a saving of £11.99. Then the half price kicks in and it takes of 3 lots of £6.
Total to pay £5.98 (and received a fragrance voucher
HTH
wow was this in store? I must try this tomorrow-saves on postage!;)0 -
The system seems to have reset at midnight and won't give *any* discounts. My total was 28.xx before midnight; now it's 119.57. And of course, if it ever gives me the discounts, it probably won't check out.
Oh, and even at the 119 total, it's still charging for shipping, and not giving me any extra points -- and there should be 500 for spending over 40 and another 500 for spending over 50. Ugh, I'm going to bed, lol.0 -
Its still working!! i've just placed an order for the massagers and got 3 for 2 and half price.
Just tried it with other thing, put 3 pedicures in and you still get both dicsounts2020 Jan: storage box,£150 pots & pans, £50 restaurant voucher, dining experience,19 tubes of Pringles Feb: £50 food giftcard,0 -
Does anybody know if the extra points codes only work on your actual spend, or do they work on the spend before discount. I couldn't get any to work last night. :mad:0

Sorry but they only work on your actual spend. It is worth persevering as I could not get the codes to work at first and then tried later and they did.0 -

It isn't anything at this end - it's Boots taking against certain customers :rotfl:. Just to experiment, I made a new account for my mum on the same computer, browser etc with the same order contents, but with no Advantage card and it went through fine. The lady at customer services told me there was nothing she could do but to take my order over the phone0 -
Good gravy! I was toying with the glitch, only to notice that now the boots web site won't give me 20% off healthcare items I had in my basket and which still say 20% off! (vitamins and such)! AND one of the vitamins is also 50% off in healthclub, but it won't give me that (it worked earlier this week!). Their Web site is the worst I've ever seen! Boo, hiss! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
