Sky sport 1 and 2 xmas pressie

I am trying to get a sky subscription for my father in law.
Sky £34 per month for a mix of say Sky one and kiddie channels, plus all 4 sports channels. The first 3 months are at 1/2 price and I can get a Sky+ box for introducing someone. Installation is free.
He is happy to get just Sky Sports 1 and 2 is there a better deal as he only wants the sport?
I think it might be possible to go down the foreign satellite route? ART TV £120 for a years card, and you need a via access enabled receiver which costs about £100 on ebay.
