Dam, oh blinking dam, I missed it, anyone know if it's repeated anywhere?
Look at Edinburghlass' post #9 and click the link, not sure if it's the whole programme but worth a lookie ;)

  • Welcome back Martin & Ruth, I've missed you both!

I've only just watched it, as I had to go out tonight... :o

In my view it was as informative as ever, and I thought Martin packed in lots of useful info in such a short space of time.

Wish they could have given him a longer slot though this time around.
    ................................... MSE MARTIN LEWIS ... :A ... THANK YOU.......................
  • Well, i just happened to "flick over" and catch the 2nd half of the new series.. wow .... its improved! ... the audience are no longer "shifting" weight from one leg to the other lol, Martins "slowed down" and speaks more clearly and i didnt see a celeb getting a "money make-over" have they ditched that idea?

I though the programme was GREAT tonight! Much quieter and better without the celebrity wallet part. I also thought the audience being seated was a far better idea, makes them look far less like spare parts!;)

A brilliant and very informative programme as usual Martin, but with a somewhat classier edge to it. It made for great viewing, please keep it up!

There was no celebrity this week as it was an 'inflation busting' special. Celebs are back next week starting with Konnie Huq (sp?). Liked the show, it's just continued to get better as it's gone on and the edges have been knocked off. People like Mecoconuts above may find that the show is basic and that they've heard it all before (or rather read it here), and I have too, but that completely misses the point of the show. it's not for us MSE geeks, it's to reach out to 'the rest of them'.

I don't give a darn about any of it being repetitive, at times we need it said over again as it enables us to retain it far better. You're right though almillar, it's all done to reach a far wider audience than just us here - the public in general is Martin's aim and he achieves it well! Even my hubby (who hasn't always been Martin's greatest fan, but still watches anyway!) liked it last night and said how good Martin was at getting everything over. Proof of an excellently presented programme!

    Well done Martin!:T

Sky plussed the show yesterday and watched it this evening.

I thought the programme was even better than the last series. Both Martin and Ruth appear settled in their roles and the show was much less rushed than previous episodes.

The audience seemed more comfortable too, along with the money saving 'guinea pigs.' At least the credit crunch has made money saving more popular with the masses! I think money saving programmes will fast replace shows about buying and selling houses as the latest fashionable programme!

Thank you for all the feedback both the team and I do read it.

It was the first of a series, and we've a mostly new team in the backgroudn, who got up to speed fast.

I'm glad my slower pace has been well received, it's not easy to do ;).

The aim is to keep going, a few more production effects and tweaks to come to get it even sharper and tidier next week :)

I watched it live and recorded Coronation Street:D ..............I only [strike]miss Corrie live[/strike] do that for Martin's show.;)

If the team are reading this.............don't you think that you'd get more viewers if the show was transmitted at 8.00pm............after Coronation Street?;)

I know some of us can sky plus/video/dvd record the show while we watch Corrie but there are some people who don't have any recorders.;)

I'm pleased poor Ruth isn't having cake or crisps stuffed into her mouth any more.:D I also liked the mix of standing and seated audience members. I think I spotted some mugs on the tables when the show started and thought to myself 'Ooh I'd like a 'It Pays To Watch' mug.............as I'm unlikely to get a gold pig.;)

I enjoyed watching the show. Both Martin and Ruth look much less rushed off their feet and stressed.:T
