Will Argos ever have Wii Fit in stock again?

I've been checking quite regularly, but one of the people who sell loads of codes on Ebay is based in my area. They're managing to get the Wii Fits from our local Argos, and putting them on Ebay for £95 and free collection (I know they live just down the road from me as it says collection location, and there is a picture of the Argos receipt). They are also selling reservation codes for a fiver.
So I doubt I'm going to have much luck getting one from my local Argos store as this individual is managing to grab them all and making a fair bit of money from it! (and pocketing the £5 argos vouchers in the process)0 -

On the ebay front, I noticed that there were some reservation codes that are on sale for another week. I thought that codes only lasted 2 days. Does this mean that there are some rather unscrupulous employees hiding them to make some money or am I just too cynical?[/quote]
I got mine a couple of weeks ago at Argos. Reserved a console and when i went to collect it reserved a Wii fit. As I didn't want to return to the store 2 days later I asked if I could collect the following monday (7 days later), the assistant overode the reservation data to allow me collect 11 days later. However, I did ask for a text message to say it had come into stock which was never sent to me, and Wii fit continued to be OUT Of STOCK on line. 5 days after reservation I called into the store to enquire about the status and it was there waiting for me.
Must say it's the best thing I've ever bought, as i dont' like computer games at all, but it is definately interactive and easy to follow0 -
Store people said the line is likely to be in stock very soon but only for purchase on the internet0

My local store reckons they get them in every 2 weeks or so. Apparently they had some in yesterday, so next delivery will be in around 2 weeks.0

Argos have had Wii Fit available for home delivery for around 6 hours today, I've finally managed to order one after months of trying.0

I've got a unix script that checks every store in the country. If you're a technical sort of person, you can download it and run it yourself - it takes about 10 mins to check every Argos store in the country.
It worked so well for me that I actually found one in stock near me while I was still debugging the script

Hi, thanks for that. Sorry to be thick but how do I get it to work? When I press the links, I just get a list of stores and then a page of code that I don't know what to do with!0 -
Apologies if this has already been posted but here goes. Find out what time your local Argos recieves their delivery, pop in around that time and the staff should be able to check if there are any coming in and then reserve for you. Or you could save the journey by getting their phone number and doing the same thing.
Stock that is in high demand like the Wii Fit will not show up on the system days in advance like most other items, only for the current day.
Or, about 10-15 minutes after the store closes, go online and check the stock. Any that have been reserved and not collected go back in to main stock and become available.
They seem to be available for 2 weeks, then nothing for 2 weeks. Same as the Wii consoles last year, then loads available in Jan/Feb.
Alternatively, make friends with someone who works in your local store!!

I've got the script up and running under MacOSX, but it claims there is stock at EVERY store. Checking the web confirms this is wrong.
Has Argos done something to break your code?

No Wii Fit's in stock. Stores have been told to advise customers to place orders by home delivery only. So either by phone to the call centre, on the internet, or in store. Doubt there will be much stock though. It does mean it's fairer as some stores were getting none due to their location.1st GC Oct 08-£100/£6.13
