Get a free credit report once a year - not creditexpert.co.uk

Hi,

I have come across this website annualcreditreport.co.uk which gives you one free credit report for as long as you agree to receive monthly emails from them.

There is no need to enter your credit card details and the site is owned by Credit Reporting Agency Limited, (the company that run checkmyfile.com) an independent company with no links to any government agency, lender, credit card company, bank or building society.

Once they have authenticated you, (by sending a code out to you by post) they will provide you with a credit report based on credit information from one of the major credit reference agencies – which contains the most extensive credit history available today.

They do also offer a monthly subscription for only £3.97 per month but there is no hard sell and it is entirely optional!

I looked at them a couple of years ago but they didn't cover Scotland at the time. They do now and my sign-up information was still on record. They don't go into as much detail as Creditexpert (Experian) but should still show up anything major.
