I went to a new (well new to me) ethnic supermarket this evening, they were just shutting up shop but I did spot White Vinegar for £1.70 for 5 litres and brown vinegar for £1.40 for 5 litres!:j Has anyone found it any cheaper?
I'm going back later in the week to suss out the bicarb.

I buy 2 L white vinegar for $1.09 at the supermarket. That would be less than 50p.Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0

I went to my local takeaway food wholesalers in Leeds and bought 14:1 non-brewed condiment (what you often put on your chips from the bottle on the counter at the chippy) , 5 litres for £3.56. Very caustic until mixed with 14 parts water when it will become 5% acetic acid just like vinegar. They also did white non-brewed condiment but not as a concentrate. If your local Caterways or equivalent wholesaler is not open to non-business customers then chat up your local fish and chip shop owner and ask them to pick some up next time they go.0

not cheaper than onthegin's find, but perhaps more accessible to Old Stylers without access to a wholesaler or cash 'n' carry ... I was in a Chinese supermarket today & they were selling a gallon of 19/1 Acetic Acid (non-brewed condiment) concentrate for £7.70, which works out at 38.5p a gallon after dilution0
