Hi Everyone,
I really need your help and advice. I am really in it up to my eye balls and I so want rid of my debt and don't know the best way.
I owe £4000 on my overdraft, about £16,000 on loans and about £12,000 on credit cards. Where do I start?
Thanks.

Just wanted to say hello to you both, take deep breaths and try not to worry. A couple of months ago I did the facing up to debt thing and no matter how bad theres always light at the end of the tunnel. facing up to it is absolutely the hardest bit. This site has been a godsend to me and it will be to you too.
Good luck with your journeys .DMP Support Thread Member 238

Hi and welcome to the boards. You have taken the hardest step in admitting you have a problem so lets try and get it sorted!
You really need to start by posting a full SOA (statement of affairs), there is a sticky at the top of this board somewhere.
Inlcude the amount you owe on all your cards / loans and try and include the interest rate if you can.
Hopefully then the lovely people on this board will be able to find some areas that you can save money to enable you to repay your debts quicker.

Hi LexieLou your amount of debt is similar to mine, and though I'm not an expert at all, I found it really useful to do the debt remedy online on the cccs website. You dont have to put in any personal details so its basically anonymous at first and it gives you an idea of how to go about dealing with stuff.
Am sure someone with more knowledge than me will be along to advise.DMP Support Thread Member 238

I found the SOA calculator, try filling this in and posting it here:
