Anyone applying for a mortgage with Halifax or already have one?

I`ve applied and got an offer for remortgage but their rate isn`t as good as my exisiting lender so I`m staying where I am.0

Ive just come out my 2yrs fixed with Halifax so am now on 7% SVR- going in next week to as for permission to let or to try and get my rate reduced while i sell/go to intrest only! Has anyone else asked them for permission to let?0

Do you really feel that that was appropriate when there are a lot of Halifax staff on these forums who don't know if they will or will not have jobs in the coming days/ weeks.
No need to speculate that they will shut up shop, lets wait and see the press release tomorrow and we may have a bit more informationThe two best things I have done with my life

If it helps I just went through this with the Bank Of Scotland, and with them being heavily linked it might be very similar.
I had to pay a £75 application fee, after which they granted permission to let. Provided you're not letting it to a commercial organisation you're normally ok.
Obviously after today you'll be lucky to get any reply!0
