If you shop around online you can get it for under fifty squid.
I have just had a look through my Which magazines and this model is listed as a bestbuy in the July 2008 Breadmaker review. It came equal first with the Morphy Richards Compact (the compact is not stainless steel)
I use it for all my bread, although recently having moved I have started using it just for the dough cycle then I use the oven. Prior to this I used it for the whole breadmaking process and it is in my opinion extremely good. I have had it for a couple of years. It has a thirteen hour timer delay so you can pop in the ingrediants and set it to start in the morning before you get up. It can also be used for jam or cakes (although the Victoria Sponges are out
)
I have the Which review in front of me so if you have any specific questions just say.*Make every day Caturday*0 -
thank you lilibeth, i think i will look for that model then.
can it go it he dishwasher for cleaning, well the pan?0 -
I have the Morphy Richards compact breadmaker which we bought just before the which report made it the best buy. It was only forty quid as well and it's fab! They don't do it in Argos anymore but they have got the stainless steel fast bake which came in second and wasn't much dearer. Well worth a go as the only difference I can remember from the report is that the stainless one had fast bake which mine didn't.
Hope this helps, happy shopping x0 -
Sorry I had to dig out the instructions.purplecatlover wrote: »thank you lilibeth, i think i will look for that model then.

No sadly you are not supposed to put it in the dishwasher.
It has a non stick coating though and it is pretty tough. Mine has been gouged with allsorts and still looks tiptop.
I just fill it with hot water let it sit in the sink for about 3 minutes then tip it out and use a soaped up sponge soft scourer thing and give the inside a quick going over. It isn't a problem to clean it.
Incidentally I forgot to say they also rated this model number one of all the models for it's fast bake cycle. I can definitely vouch for that I used it a lot. for that. One hour ten for a small and one hour fifteen for a large.
Electric Shopping have it for 48.99 with free delivery.

Other places seem to be selling it for 70plus.
@ Rachel it came equal 1st they both scored 76% and the compact only came fourth in the fastbake thing.*Make every day Caturday*0 -
thanks
oh well she will just have to hand wash then.
now to decide if i should be going ahead and getting it now or waiting and hoping the price doesn't go up. *ponders*0 -
I'd lean towards getting it now myself just because most other places are selling it for @ the 70 pound mark. So it is already 21 pounds less. There again they might drop their prices for Christmas.purplecatlover wrote: »thanks

It's sods law if you wait you might miss out but if you buy it now they might drop it further.
I think Morphy Richards online shop are still selling it at 79 pounds.*Make every day Caturday*0 -
