Aldi 17" TFT Monitor - Medion

Hi.
I know there has been lots of posts on the Computer available from Aldi recently, some good, some not so good. This week amongst their 'special offers' is a 17" Medion TFT Monitor. I am really keen to purchase a TFT Monitor. The question is which one to go for. Argos have the LG 1715S for £159.95 (supposedly a saving of £50 - normally £205), Aldi have the Medion at £140 and Asda have a Benq FP737S for £149.99 (out of stock at present but assistant THINKS they are coming in again). LG doesn't have a DVI connection but the other 2 do.(I think) So to all you 'techies' out there, which one should I go for? All info gratefully received! Thanks - Sally

Thanks scooby for your reply. I don't know whether you have read the posts on the 'Aldi Computer' but it does make interesting reading. Some are saying great things about Medion and others (who used to work there) are saying they are not so good. I really don't want to be buying rubbish, but I am tempted by the 3 year guarantee and whilst I have only ever taken one thing back to Aldi. the refund was made immediately with no questions asked and no problem whatsoever. So, as I have until Thursday morning to make my mind up, I am keeping my fingers crossed that other techies will perhaps give me the benefit of their wisdom. Thanks again. Sally
