My Win Has Arrived and im Pretty Sure its a Fake!

I recently won the Pink Wishes daily comp to win a Louis Vuitton pendant, postie has delivered it today and i think its a fake!!!

Firstly, it arrived just wrapped in bubble wrap, no Louis Vuitton packaging or authentication card.
Secondly, i cant see any hallmarks on it

And thirdly, its really light and feels and looks tinny! I have looked on the LV website and although it looks similar to the one on there i can see some marked differences in quality

Can someone advise me of best place to start ???

I dont know hun, maybe contact the organisers of the competition and see what they say?

Such a shame, I thought I that comp for such a small site looked too good to be true. I would start by emailing the site asking for authentication in case of future problems (maybe you could even put insurance reasons). I got this email addy from the contact us bit on the site for you: lynn@pinkwishes.co.uk. If they are a bit dodgy in there reply I would look up Velvetgolve's user guide as I remember she had all the Trading standards/ comp regulator's contact details for such problems. Hope this helps.

I would take it to a local jeweller for authentication and then if it is a fake I would politely email the site stating that the competition you entered was for a Louis Vuitton pendant and this is not the correct prize. See what they say in response. If you are pretty sure it's a fake then I'm sure the Pink Wishes people would have realised this when they ran the comp. Perhaps they meant 'Louis Vuitton style' pendant but they should have should have stated this on their site. It's totally misleading and unfair.

I dont know if the item has any of the Louis Vuitton monogram pattern on it, but on authentic Vuitton products, the monogram usually matches up on corners/seams whereas fakes dont usually bother. Usually Vuitton products would also usually come in a box or at least with a dustbag. I would take the item to a Vuitton counter if there is one near you although they are quite scarce in the UK. I had to go to Selfridges in Manchester (a 60 mile trip) to have a strap repaired on my rubbish quality authentic Vuitton bag!

sorry to say this but pink wishes only allocates up to 100 pounds so i doubt it will be real as you cannot buy real lv for 100 pounds,many shops sell lv jewellery or style jewellery that are still viable to sell in their shops.i have a shop near me that stocks and sells lots of lv,and lv style and i have bought many items as it looks nice and doesnt break the bank!
