Working from home

Hi,
Earlier this year the Mrs and I had our first baby. Her maternity leave is due to end next month, she will not be returning to her job and is keen to stay at home for another 12 months or so with the little one.
In order to get some income she is looking to get a job where she can work at home. Even if the job is as mundane as stuffing envelopes a couple of hours a day she is not too bothered so long as she can earn £100+ a week. I have looked on the internet but all I can find is franchise / home business opportunities where we kindly invest £50,000 and can be guaranteed a billion pound income etc etc.
Does anyone know of any genuine companys that may be suitable?
Thanks
Ben

Does your wife want to stay at home only for a year and return to her current job? If not would she consider childminding at home caring for your own baby and perhaps a couple of older children part time. Even before and after school care brings in a fair income. Of course there are some weeks of paperwork etc to start up, but might suit. Details on Ofsted website.Comping Challenge £360 / reached Feb!

I found a great site for taking paid surveys. It's a good way to work from home and make some extra cash. It's a legit business and a really fast growing opportunity on the net. Best part is it requires no money from you, ever.
It's worth checking out...paid off for me!

I tried the stuffing envelope stuff when I was in her situation. Its a scam of pyramid selling generally. Steer clear of it. Dont ever pay money out to earn money, either. A friend of mine had a little job assembling jewellery, this was genuine, it was for places like Asda and Dorothy Perkins I think. I dont know who the company was that took her on though. I did a bit of childminding to help out when mine were young, this worked well.Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0

Thanks for the info. I started looking at these before Christmas, joining several via cashback sites such as Cashbag and rpoints. Some turned out to be just entries into prize draws (usually for things I didn't want), but some are starting to deliver the goods. It can be frustrating to be repeatedly told that you are not eligible, but some of the better ones give you a few points even for this. One of the sites I joined was
https://www.thesurveypro.com
which pays you £6 via paypal when you register and sign up for 20 of its top surveys. This took some time, but many of them were ones I would have joined anyway and they paid up instantly once I submitted my claim.0 -

Yes, I found that too. They sent me an e-mail saying "did you get your £5" with this link
http://www.thesurveypro.com/5pounds
and that sent you to the claim form link which did work (and yes, they did send £6, not £5). Hope it works for you too.0 -
Guys 'n gals, have a look at Matched Betting over on the Gambling Introductory Loopholes board.
It's not going to make you rich quick (nothing does!), but it certainly offers a d***d side better money-making opportunities than all the survey sites together.0 -
If you can dedicate at least 1/2 an hour a day, 3 days a week to your computer, you can take paid surveys online and get paid. You won't get rich, but you'll do all right.
Sign up with the top 10 paid survey panels right now and that will get you going.
