Can anyone help me please? My son (5) came home with a letter from school last week stating they are having a Spanish day in a couple of weeks and they need to wear a costume! I have looked on ebay for a matador dress up but I really don't want to pay £15 ish for something he will only wear once. Has anyone got any ideas of how to do this on the cheap: Please bear in mind I am not very artistic/any good at dressmaking etc. Thanks in advance:p

I'm not very artistic either. Could he go as a bull - brown jumper and trousers, black trainers, headband with horns and some cheap facepaint? Teach him to 'paw' the ground. Oops nearly forgot - make a tail (tights?):heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

Here in our part of Spain when we have fiestas,, the young boys wear something similar to above pic hsaown on the site, but with plain black trousers and a white shirt with the flamenco style hat, others have just black trousers and a white shirt (sometines frilly) slashed to the waist, some have a spotty shirt (usually white spots on red) red cumberbans and matching spotty flat cap, others have palin black or gret trousers, white shirt, black flamenco hat and a grey or black boxy jacket (only to bottom of rib cage so it doesn't get in the way on their horses) BUT they all have a black drawn on moustache..a sort of small curly handle bar type just the wisthe of their top lip.., we also have street musicians, fairly plainly dressed but with a sombrero and guitar. you couls also go along the farmer route, with a flat cap, jeans, perhaps a long white apron and carrying a bunch of grapes and a bottle of wine, or bottle of olive oil.
Course there's always a spanish footballer0 -
Hi. we have these days at our school, to be honest I usually let my DS go in one of his football kits, have you not got a Barcelona kit or something and hey presto SPANISH FOOTBALL PLAYER, I know it's a bit boring but it beats looking around the shops etc.. and having to spend more money.
You could also use some of the iron on T-shirt things and copy the Spanish Flag, i also did this last year.
