I know, but a company will say anything to sell their product. If a consumer believes that sort of rubbish... well, caveat emptor I guess. I only hope that if someone *does* believe that then they always remove the stickers when there's no child in the car. Hey, if this sort of this was true, and a fireman/paramedic wasted time looking for an absent child and there was a needless death... mmm, legal action ;-)
I think we're just seeing herd mentality. "Have baby... must... have... sticker...."0 -
A while ago RoSPA also mentioned the reason for the stickers and urged people to take them out of the car if the child/baby wasn't present. To me if people want to spend 50p on something that may help to save their childs life then who are we to complain about it?
Me personally I don't have one, I don't drive. But the thought of someone having one in their car doesn't bother me either. Maybe its a safety measure (car in accident, possiblity of fire spreading, bystander pulls mum out of the car but doesn't see the baby, maybe he would look further if the sign was there. Then again maybe it wouldn't work that way). Besides I'm not gonna argue about child safety!! LOL!0
