Clydesdale Bank
I had a £7000 credit card debit with the Clydesdale Bank and back in January I went to them for help, they suggested a personal loan which they agreed to allow me to take out to cover the debit, but I am paying back a very large amount of interest (approx £5k) - I now realise after speaking to my other creditors this was not the best advice and I should have entered into a payment plan with the credit card debit rather than take on a whole new debt. In February & March I wrote numerous letters to the branch but after ignoring my first 2 letters they replied to say there was no more they could do that they couldnt reduce the interest payable (cant even remember the rate but it was about 18%, and if I had further reason to complain I could take it with the Financial Ombusman. I just wondered if this has happened to anyone else or, I fully appreciate I got myself in debit with not only this card but many others, for who now have placed me on a12 month payment plan. I just feel they put me in a worse postion than ever. Sorry to go on but I am trying to get myself back on my feet.
