Hi,
Sorry if these have been posted before but found a couple of sites where you can download full versions of classic PC games:
http://www.abandonia.com/index2.php (various games in left-hand menu)
http://www.nahoo.co.uk/
Plus Caesar I:
http://www.caesariv.com/us/downloads/caesar_i.php
Other people probably know some others...
Hope you have some fun.

Abandonware is the name given to software that is no longer supported or commercially sold by the developers or publishers. In other words, software that can no longer be bought, so there's no real harm in downloading it.
Abandonware is strictly speaking illegal, unless all copyright holders of the computer game (or any computer software) expressly release the software as freeware. This happened in the case of GTA1 and GTA2.
However, those sites have some software that hasn't been officially released as freeware, even some that is still commercially sold.
From the list on Nahoo, I saw Age of Empires, Doom, Lemmings, SimCity 2000, and Worms, all of which I've seen in shops recently (albeit in the budget rack).0 -
Thanks for that, apologies if it's not legal0

I'm suprised Nahoo are getting away with offering those downloads...
I'm not faulting the OP, the site looks like it's pukka!0 -
There are a few more listed on Liberated Games. I've been playing Wild Metal Country for a week or so now; it's quite a lot of fun!
I also heartily recommend Beneath a Steel Sky and Flight of the Amazon Queen. Both require SCUMMVM in order to run on modern systems.0 -
also https://www.holyfile.com is excellent for Abandoned games0
