Hi all change,
This earlier thread has some recipes and links that may help so I've added your post to it to keep the suggestions together. Vegan villiage has some recipes too.

Twinks Hobnobs are great:
227g (8oz) SR Flour
Same Sugar
Same porridge oats
Same marge
1 tbsp golden syrup
1 tbsp hot water
½ tsp bicarbonate
Mix flour, oats sugar
Melt marge, syrup and water in pan
Stir in bicarbonate
Add to dry mix
Mix well
Shape into very small balls
Put on greased tray, oven 180c
At least 15 mins, golden colour
I always make them with PURE marge so they are vegan, could also dip them in dark chcoclate? Someone said they were nice with ginger in and dipped in darlk chocolate...yummy, might have to go and make some now.0 -

Thanks so much - I make very similar ones already, and it hadn't occurred to me to just replace the butter/marge with a vegan version.
Thanks!!0 -
Hi everyone,
not sure if this is the place for it so feel free to move, but I had to share this recipe that I found.
I needed to make a cake last night but didn't have any eggs and couldn't be bothered to go all the way to the shops. So I did a bit of googling and found this recipe for a vegan sponge cake...
One word... WOW!
I didn't think it would work, (orange juice and oil:rotfl: ) but it was excellent, lovely taste to it and ever so light and fluffy. I did it as a victoria sandwich style cake but next time will try it as fairy cakes.
Hope someone tries it and likes it!

Thanks so much for that I've been searching for ages for a sponge-type recipe for my granddaughter who's allergic to eggs. I've trawled the web a lot but they all seemed to have banana or tofu (which I know are fine, but I wanted a more ordinary recipe) :T0

Thanks. I have been looking for something like this for a while to make for vegan Mum.0

There's someone in the kids morris side who always asks what has egg in it. I'll be able to do this for her. do you suppose the 'sponge' bit will freeze without the filling? that would be really handy.[SIZE=-1]"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit.
