PPI reclaiming on a morgage

Can anyone help

I am off work after a bereavement (my 17 year old son) and have tried to claim on my morgage PPI only to be told There is a 60 day deferment period and a 90 day wait before any benefit is paid. I did not realise this and thought it would pay out after the 1st month. I have told legal and general I feel the insurance is not fit for purpose and that I feel it was missold as I wasnt aware of the 60 day deferment or 90 day waiting period. They tell me as is was sold through a broker I do not have a claim with them The broker in question is morgage talk who act for legal and general and sell only their insurance

Please can anyone advise me on this

I hope to be back at work soon as I feel it will help me, but after 11 weeks or 77 days off I will recieve little or nothing from the policy. The policy remains in place at present and they will only pay out after the 19th of October, so I need to decide what to do before then

Many thanks
