Ah thanks! i had too many inanswered questions, so i made fail safe fairy cakes instead. Wrote a message to BF on them in chocolate buttons i sat and paunstakingly cut into slices. Stuck it on with icing. Has had me in hysterics all afternoon

Im sure a casserole dish, baking dish or pyrex would do . as long as you can cook in it it would be grand i guess? Thats what i would do anyway. Good luck. Thanks for the help.

trying the raisin loaf recipe for the first time in panasonic bradmaker, started fine, got to the bit where the raisins go in and idiot husband turned the machine off - gggrrrrr when swictehd back on, it's gone back to the start

I've no idea what stages the bread has had, so don't know quite what to do

does anyone know what I (k!)need to do it rescue it?

Not sure what you'll have done by this stage. I would have made him take it out, work the raisins in by hand, then put it back to 'bake only' option. Or cook it in the oven.
Signature removed for peace of mind
  • Take the dough out of the machine, knock it back, put in a loaf tin and leave to rise again, then bake it in the oven. hth.

Hi there - I have a quick question. I'm sure almost anyone (but me) can answer it: how much milk is 'normal' for a person to drink per day (or per week)? I never touch the stuff, so I have no idea. For some time now I have been putting great efforts in low fat/no fat cooking, small portions, no puddings etc for DH to lose some weight - but I'm suspecting he is piling on unnecessary calories with all the milk he drinks......
So how much milk does a normal 50+ year old bloke get through? One pint a day? Two?
    thanks!

It looks like from this link that he will struggle to lose weight if he is drinking a couple of pints a day of full fat or semi skimmed milk, 2 pints of full fat is 740 calories, eek, that's like eating 2 and a half Mars bars. Though milk is pretty nutritious in other ways so I think you need to have some in your diet. HTH
