I'm at a bit of a transition where I'm going from cheap and cheerful clothes that are ok but don't fit well to really nice clothes that fit better and that I love - I've had so many compliments recently and they're making me feel better and I'm getting rid of old stuff too and going for quality over quantity.....
Anyway I have ordered 5 things so will add 5 extra things to my charity pile to take into town tomorrow when I get home tonight! I want to have a wardrobe where, apart from really special things, I wear all the stuff regularly.
I completely agree with you. I've recently given myself a big image overhaul; got rid of loads of clothing I don't wear or which is old and tatty/bobbled/faded too much, and bought a few expensive, but quality, smart, long lasting items and I am feeling a lot better about myself too. Been adding lots of items to my washing so I can hand them over to the charity shop all nice and clean.0 -
It makes you feel nicer doesn't it having nice things to wear! It may cost more per item but I bet if we added up our nice kitted out wardrobes to our carp filled wardrobes it would be the same cost. So the expensive stuff is cheaper per wear and makes us feel better about ourselves !Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0

Definitely. For example, a pair of jeans I paid £130 for jut over 3 years ago has been worn many, many times and still in wonderful condition. I was also sick of looking childish and scruffy in tatty old jeans and T shirts the whole time so got some dresses, trousers, tops etc. I feel a lot better about myself so it's all totally worth it and while putting away some washing from today, I already found one top which is now pending to go to charity (I'll take it there when the bag is full).0 -
