I'd be highly upset if I bought a TV recording device that didn't do realtime recording I can tell you.....

This looks good.
I'm unsure what this means:
- Record from DV-Camcorders connected via IEEE 1394 (FireWire)
Please excuse my ignorance but what is a DV-camcorder.Its better to be late in this life than early in the next one.

Digital Video I think, i.e. a camcorder using an internal disk/memory to store images which you would normally put onto a PC like a digital stills camera, in this case you play it into the DVD and record the images to DVD0

DV Video is not only recorded to internal memory or disk.
The majority of Digital Video cameras use the mini DV tapes. Normally you would have to transfer the video into your computer and then burn it to disk seperately.
The firewire/1394 is the cable connection type . firewire is Apple computers name for it the 1394 is everyone elses name for the same thing ( except sony who call it i-link or something like that ) Digital video is much better quality picture than standard video more like broadcast quality. I think most video cameras are DV now.
Hope this helps0
