Making a Birthday Cake - Need to buy blue jelly crystals

Hi,
My son is having a Birthday Party next weekend, and I am making a 'Swimming Pool' cake  I want to buy some blue jelly crystals (to look like the water in the pool) - this is an idea I have seen in a cake decorating book.
My problem is that I can't seem to find 'jelly crystals' in the Supermarket (well, Tesco anyway  ). I have only ever bought jelly cubes when making jelly, and have never seen blue ones anyway.
Any ideas?

I don't know about the jelly crystals but another thing you could try is using lime marmalade and blue food colouring. You need to sieve the marmalade first then add a small amount of colouring and pipe or spread onto your cake. It's really effective. Don't buy lemon and lime marmalade though as it doesn't work the same for some reason.:smileyhea0

I have not seen these but would an orange jelly with some green food colouring work??
I will let you know if I can find any, good luck and don't forget to post a pic!:happyhear We are not put on this earth for ourselves, but are placed here for each other.

Or make jelly from scratch with gelatine, blue food colouring and some clear flavouring?0

Just done some research and found this cake:

If you read through the posts, she says she used 'Piping Gel' for the water -which you apparently tint with food colouring.

I would have suggested the same idea as Tinkerbell.
