  • Hi Sue,
    You are not alone.
Follow the PPi discussion thread, there are load of people in the same boat like you and me. Trawl through the forum, there is some sound advice in their and have a look at the PPI successes and failures thread (we can take them on -and win).
Ok, did you send the MSE (Money Saving Expert)standard template letter when you wrote to them? Did you send it recorded delivery? I sent my 1st letter on MOnday and got a reply on THursday to say they are looking into my case and will get back to me by 3rd of October. (They have 8 weeks to reply)

I expect to be fobbed off, but I will keep at it.

Anyway hope this helps and good luck

    Hi Sue

I mainly post on the reclaiming discussion thread as above, if you click on loans the above forum will be on that site.

You have received a standard response from these, so don't let this hold you back. (I can see it hasn't lol)

If you get no joy the next time you hear, please post back on the mentioned forum where you will receive plenty of help and guidance here.

Meanwhile I hope the next news you receive from them will be in your favour.

    Good luck!

Hi, you have to give them 8 weeks before you can take your complaint to the Ombudsman from the date of your first letter (send it recorded as you have a proof). You then need a final response too. If you put this on the discussion thread instead then there are lots of people to guide you through and support you.

What was the original date the PPI was applied?
