The BBC news website is doing an interesting feature this week where 2 of their reporters eat nothing but local food for a week - they also welcome suggestions of local producers, farm shops etc. I emailed with a few suggestions and got a friendly personal reply. I know the Dumfries and Galloway guy is still looking for pasta flour - anyone know of a local flour mill?

Of course a group of people in Fife have been doing this for a lot longer than a week, their blog is also a good read: http://fifediet.wordpress.com/about/

There's this: Heatherslaw Mill, "A working water mill, where locally grown wheat is ground to make a stoneground wholemeal flour. A miller is on hand to demonstrate and explain the process."
It's on the Ford & Etal estate, but that's actually Northumberland...
