Hiya DFW's! I've only just noticed this thread - sorry! I'm not a regular on this board, but I thought if any of you pop in to MSE before you go to Manchester, I might be able to help!

For those who've suggested meeting at Starbucks, it'd be cheaper to go directly to the Paramount for a coffee or to one of the other Wetherspoon's! (I think Lavazza is only 99p a cup and very nice too!) - the Paramount is quite a nice pub!

There are also other Wetherspoon's in the area for a pre-bevvy coffee, particularly The Manchester & County which is only a 5 min walk from Piccadilly Rail Station, (at 49 Piccadilly). Come out of the front of the station, (careful there is also a back entrance - if you see a taxi rank then you are at the wrong exit!) and turn right onto London Road, keep walking, staying on the same side of the road (going towards Piccadilly) until you get to the Wetherspoons's pub, just past the end of London Road. There are two or three other pubs along the way, just stop at the one with Wetherspoon's written on it!

Hope you have a great time! I'm hoping to be in Manchester on Saturday and if so, I may pop into the Paramount if I can make it - if that's ok!
