Eyelet top curtains

When measuring for eyelet top curtains, is it the same as pencil pleat, i.e. width of window x 2.5 to give width of curtains? I've only ever had pencil pleat before but fancy something a bit more modern when we move house.

I've got them, you mean the big silver ring holes?
I would say double is fine with them, they are not meant to be as gathered as pleated curtains.

That was quick Mrs E. Thanks. Yes the big silver rings.

(I thought I was the only one with nothing better to do than be on the computer at 11pm on a Saturday night LOL!)

    LOL

Hubbys just gone off to bed & I'm sitting here thinking about following him, to my new supadoupa comfy bed.

Mine are in cordroy. I too think they are a more up to date than trad curtains & smarter than tab tops.

    Hi
Rufflette make an Eyelet Heading tape http://www.cwfurnishings.co.uk/rufflette-solar-curtain-heading-tape-1mt-921-p.asp

With this tape you will need x2 fullness. The eyelets are available in lots of colourshttp://www.cwfurnishings.co.uk/rufflette-jupiter-eyelet-rings-1005-p.asp

    Hope this helps you
    Kind regards

we just got some eyelet curtians. We measured the curtian rail. about 85 inches across. so orded 90 by 45inches (something like that) they came yesterday. Each curtian is 90 inches wide. So I thought it would be too big but looks ok against the window. But if you doubled the 90inches they would be massive

Thanks Joanne, I didn't realise they made that tape. Hopefully I'll find some ready mades as the window will be virtually the whole wall (as we are having the windows and part of the wall removed and replaced with windows and french doors to bring more light into the room). I can make smaller curtains but wouldn't like to tackle something this big  . Useful to know though in case I can't find any I like but want to get local lady to make them for me.
