Hi
Just a few questions for you guys in know, sorry but theres still bankruptcy questions my partner wants to know.
1, Is it still 6 months to 1 year for simple cases?
2, Does she have to pay the 450 upfront?
3, Can she still go to uni to be a nurse if shes been bankrupt?
Thanks

1. depends what you mean by a 'simple ' bankruptcy. If the Official Receiver (OR) decides her case is suitable for Early Discharge then yes she may be discharged 6-9 months after the Bankruptcy ordert. But it will be on her credit file for 6 years.
2. she will have to pay the fee to the court yes, unless she is in receipt of income support or other benefits. I dont know the details, check the court service website https://www.courtservice.gov.uk or telephone the local county court with bankruptcy jurisdiction and ask the Bankruptcy Clerk
3. Being a nurse is no problem. I have dealt with student nurses who have gone bankruptcy and continueed qwith their studies.

It's £460, up front, in cash. But £310 if she can get remission by being on income support or a very low wage.
Is she sure bankruptcy is the best option? Has she taken advice on this?0 -
have you checked to ensure that bankruptcy will not affect the bursary nurses receive to study?0
