I have a bottle with diluted stardrops and vinegar in it, cleans everything including taps using an old soft toothbrush. taps always nice and shiny.0

One third vinegar, one third stardrops, one third water, squirty bottler, spray on, scrub with toothbrush, rinse, buff with microfibre cloth. Hey presto, shiny gleamy taps!

Im not mad I promise you, if you have stainless steel taps and limescale is sticking to them try rubbing them with a copper coin and a little bit of cold water. But dont rub hard enough to scratch your taps.0

For lime scale in the gauze thing at the bottom of taps get a couple of sandwich bags, cotton wool and white vinegar. Soak the cotton wool in the vinegar inside the bag then either tape or tie the bag around the tap so the bottom of the tap sits in the cotton wool leave for as long as possible and the vinegar should 'eat' away at the limescale.:j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j

we dont seem to get limescale 'oop norf' not that i've noticed anyway lol
I go with the consensus of vinegar, stardrops and water brings my taps up lovely and I dont use a toothbrush or buff them up they dry clean and shiny0 -
I just use vinegar on its own. Just wipe it over the taps, leave while you clean the rest of the bathroom and then rinse off.0

the taps we have are on a bog standard b&q bathroom suite and they "used" to be "gold" effect but they are looking a bit discoloured now do you think i could use your ideas on those taps, soory i forgot to mention when i posted last night what sort of taps they are0
