Which Yeast For BM?

Hi All,
Am just sorting out a list for ASDA and wondered which yeast I should get for my BM? I havent made any bread yet asI am exchanging it come monday cause its broken-BOO HOO.
Where is the best place for yeast and flour, Iwant to make wholemeal or wholegrain bread.

Hi,
My panasonic BM suggests the "easy blend" type of yeast, i.e. not one that you have to re-constiute with water.
I have had great success with the Hovis variety recently - I have a cheese and oat bread that is about to finish baking, and that has risen well.

Easy blend yeast is best - Lakeland do packs of Doves Farm but I saw on here that Tesco do tins of Allisons. You don't want ordinary - has to be Fast Action, Easy Blend or similar - my Asda don't do either but they do packs of sachets for about 65p. Will post some links or pics if I can find them.0

Ive only ever used the hovis sachets,they come in a box of 6 x 7g for 51p in asda.0

I use the Hovis dried yeast labeled Fast Action Bread Yeast and 'Perfect for Bread Machines'.
It appears to be very good and I have'nt had a poor loaf yet. There is quite a lot of yeast in each of the sachets, so once I have measured the required amount out I seal the sachet with cellotape to keep the remainder fresh.

I use the Orange Allinsons tins - 99p from Tesco's. If your Tesco doesn't do it, Holland and Barrett do.
I add about 1 1/4 tsp of yeast to a medium loaf. I usually make the white loaf recipe but substitute 150-250 gms white flour for wholemeal. It's all trial and error. Sometimes I just add a slightly rounded tsp if I'm using more white flour. Keep it in the tin in a cool dark cupboard.

Doves Farm yeast is very good, about £1 a packet and it goes a long way, I find it easier to use than fiddling with the individual sachets. You can buy it from some healthfood shops as well as Lakeland0
