When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Hi to any new posters and a big shout to the usual gang, hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.

Well, I'm on here which is always a good start!
So far I've been to ASDA and bought some groceries early morning using 1s, 2s and 5s for some juice, bread and fruit coming to £1.40. Spending the rest of the day in the house watching football, cleaning and sorting out my financial folder too!
Will check Pigsback for those elusive 2500 points from Petplan (been waiting since June);
Check Valued Opinions to check that the sums waiting to be transferred to my balance has done so (and then it's £10 HMV voucher for me!);
That's pretty much it.Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -
Hi Andan and bathgatebuyer and all who follow

Went blackberrying on the way back from the pictures. Now have two tubs of blackberries in the freezer.
Two loads of washing out on the line (first day without rain for ages!) and a third going round in the machine now.
For lunch, I used leftovers, that would otherwise have gone off soon.
Quite a good day so far.
Now to try to find a needle to get rid of a splinter (or for those of us from the North East, a spelk) from my finger. Pesky brambles!
Painted lady, hope you are soon feeling better.Debt free since December 2015. It can be done0
