    Good evening,
i am not sure if this thread is still active?
I am still waiting for 2 CCA's to come back out of 5 requested .  The DCA's say they have requested them but not heard back yet.  every now and then they write to me to say this.  In the meantime, they confirm it is not enforceable until they find it.  I requested these back in August.
I got a little bonus for Christmas, so have a bit of extra cash i can offer for a F&F settlement.  Is it worth writing to them and making an offer even though they are still waiting for confirmation if there is a cCA in place or not?
It's starting to look like this is permanently unenforceable and so there is nowhere for them to go with it.

You'd be better concentrating on the three enforceable ones.

Do you mean to ignore these for the time being and request F&F's on my enforceables?  I only have 2 at the moment, (£3.5k & £400) the 3rd they couldnt find so offered me a 75% discount which i paid a couple of months ago.
  • Has anyone had experience with a Full and Final Settlement with Barclays and Moorcroft?
I'm on a DMP with them. £8.8K outstanding and wondered what kind of numbers people have been successful with? I'm hoping to settle for about 50%

If you're hoping to settle for 50% then give yourself room to negotiate and start at 30%.

    You can always go up.

Is this just one debt? i.e. a barclays debt managed by moorcroft? You make the offer to moorcroft

  • That's right.
One debt. Defaulted with Barclays in an unsecured loan and collection is being managed by Moorcroft. I thought the offer would go to them and then they go to Barclays to see whether they agree or not

    Well done.

That illustrates what I said three posts ago
  • Is a DCA likely to entertain an offer if you're making payments already?
Owe £4250 to Vanquis and it's being dealt with by Lowell.  Defaulted in 2018, so 4 years left before the 6 year point.
I've been paying off around £25 a month with no official agreement in place, and they've not bothered me about this.

Thinking of being cheeky and offering say 20% as a F&F settlement figure, or £1k or so.  Either that or keep paying £25 a month which will take something like 14 years to pay off completely ;)

Yes, it depends on the timescale of the plan you're on. Yours is going to take a long time so I think they'll listen.
  • Is there a default template to use when making a F&F offer say by email / their messaging system?
