I was really looking forward to going here last night, but I was so dissapointed. My burger was totally tasteless, I ordered a chicken burger and there were lots of bad bits of chicken in it. I managed a quarter and just gave up. My boyfriend enjoyed his chilli burger though. When we got our drinks we weren't offered glasses!
When it came to paying, the manager asked me if everything was ok so i politely told him my burger wasn't very nice and he acted as if he didn't believe me! He said he had had one earlier and they were lovely!! I could hardly believe it.
Even with a BOGOF voucher it came to £22.50!
I will NOT be returning.

sorry to hear that pandapants - by any chance does the manager work part time at Drumbo Park - the greyhound stadium - I had a similar experience there last month - "buffet" was actually a choice of Thai Curry or Beef Bourginon (my wife being a veggie loved that choice!), when I complained about the hour long delay between starters and main course, the manager asked me how I'd managed to get my main course inside an hour as there were 74 other tables in front of me - I could have sworn I was in Fawlty Towers lol!!
Sounds like those new restaurants in Vicky Sq are expensive then - our "free" night in Chilis billed up at £40 for 2 adults having 2 mains and a sharing dessert and soft drinks!Norn Iron Club Member #64

Had experiences of GB before and I've always been left a bit underwhelmed. The prices and even name lead to high expectation and I don't think they deliver.0

yep the restaurant is expensive - we went as competition winners with Belfast Telegraph - Drumbo Park forgot to put our name on the list, we were shoved at the back in the furthest away table, when I complained about the delay in the food to the waitress she came back, apologised said the chef told her there was a backlog, when I complained to the "manager" he said there wasn't a backlog thats just how long it takes between courses when 300 people are in, then asked me how I got my food so quick when people in neighbouring tables were waiting on theirs
to me an hour or more between courses is completely unacceptable especially when you want to go down to the dog track to see the races............had friends went - cost £40 a head for entry and 3 course meal - entry is a tenner if I'd been paying £30 per person for a 3 course meal I'd have been asking for my money back!
at one point when we came back from the track 2 blokes had occupied our table!
my advice, eat before you go, or buy chips in the cafe downstairs! - it would appear if you aren't eating you can't have a table inside unlike before when the "bar" area was open to everyoneNorn Iron Club Member #64

Haven't been to GBK but can recommend gourmet burger bank near the Eg. It has a really goodselection and both chicken and beef burgers are great.0

Oh dear. I bet you won't be going back either. lol
A woman i work with went and she said the service and food were amazing. I find it fascinating how people can have such vastly different opinions of the same places.Undefeated Wii Fit ski jump champion!

I'll be back, but not for food!
food may be amazing if you're not on a "buffet" menu and are paying for it, but then its up to you the price you'd like to pay for a meal I guess, £30 a head is outside what I'd do considering I can feed our family of 3 for £20 in Pizza Hut lol!!
I guess give it a go and report back maybe they'll have ironed out their issues by now since the official opening last weekNorn Iron Club Member #64

Was a bit surprised to come across these comments about DP. I have just been there for the first time a couple of weeks back and had a brilliant night with 5 friends.
I am guessing by the dates of the earlier posts, teething problems might be the reason, but I can say the service and food was top notch when we were there.
One of the things we really liked about it was that you had your table for the night, unlike most restaurants, so we could take time over our meal and enjoy the races.
We will certainly be going back, if only to try some of the other yummy items on the menu
