Depedns on your definition of "Decent" but Tesco's have an amazing value Clock Radio Alarm for £3.49 at the moment. Nice and compact - black with red LED's - just had to get one.

It would have been rude not to at that price ;D

Thanks for everyones help. After many (all!!) my alarm clocks being basic "bleepers", I've gone for a really "posh" one!! (my husbands going to give me it for christmas ;D)

GK172 recommended one she'd just got - a ministry of sound CD/Radio alarm clock. half price, now £24.99 in current argos catalogue. And I sneaked a peak earlier (just to make sure it was working, you understand ;)) And its really cool. ;D ;D Of course, being a long-term user of basic alarm clocks, I don't have much to compare it with!!

Lara if you don't know where it is....then you can safely assume that you can't pick the item up......mind you....you didn't know where Swindon was either and I'm ever so grateful fo that one - lol  ;) ;);)

    Hes

Oooooooooo hes! I did know where Swindon was but it was just too far ;), same as Portsmouth and Southampton were but I managed to "offload" ;D the goodies to other MSE's ;D. Mind you haven't seen them on here since :-/ - wonder if they sold on ebay >:(.

Hes, remember the first post to you asking where you lived and if you could get there cos I didn't want to give you the reservation number if you couldn't get there! LOL ;D ;D ;D Was just making sure you weren't going to sell on ebay either - must have sounded a right dragon! LOL :-[ :-[ :-[ ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Good job we're buddies now eh! :D ;D :D ;D

    Lara..........................

Me - sell on Ebay :o:o:o Never :o

Well actually not strictly true I have an Ebay user id (go on guess what it is.....you never will so I'll tell you - it's Hesjane ;)) and I have bought loads and sold once (a body kit for my son's car)

However, the comment did bring back echoes of a conversation with hubby last night in which he informed me I could continue bargain hunting provided I bagged bargains to sell on via sites such as Ebay.......

    Don't worry - I soon put him straight >:(

Don't know about anyone else on this thread....but I feel a bit like a 'credit card rate tart' - what with all the hopping between the Argos thread, the Empire thread, and the Gamecube thread ;)

Have to say, I'm so 'involved' with all three of these that I have multiple windows on the go :D

However, I must say that you get the nicest MSErs on Argos. Everywhere else, it seems the rule is everyone for themselves, whereas 'over here in Argosland' the rule is ' who can I help next'

    Much nicer ;););)
