Hi I want to get a RF modulator for TV with no scart. They seem to be quite expensive. Does any one where one could get one. I need it to add a dvd player to an old TV. Dont want to buy a new TV as I'm happy with the TV in our bed room.

Just a thought - have you tried running it through a VCR? DVD to VCR with a Scart cable, select 'Scart 1' (or similar) as input to VCR - should output on aerial out (works with my oldish Sony VCR, not exactly full digital quality though...).0

Hi tried that on my philips video but the AV channel on the video dies approx 5 mins after you put it on it appears that unless your recording or watching a vedio the VCR just swiches off. It's a right pain when trying to use the vedio as a remote for the TV.0

Unfortunately, RF modulators cost so much (at least £30) that it would be cheaper to buy a new video recorder from the supermarket just for this purpose.
Or why not look for a second-hand VCR - you could definitely get one for £15-20 and use that instead.0 -
The playstation comes with an Rf Modulator so see if anyone you know has a playstation?
Most people use scarts for playstations so should be able to tap one from a friend, failing that go into a games shop and buy on cheap.I'm not poor i'm just skint0 -
I think you're a bit confused there. Playstations use RCA and include an RCA->Scart convertor. RF modulators are ones which take in a scart signat and convert it so the it can be watched through a normal aerial (RF) cable.boogiemaster wrote:The playstation comes with an Rf Modulator so see if anyone you know has a playstation?
